Road Trip 1996
Recounts the first of our major road trips. Rout took us from Cary, NC to Portland, OR by way of Grand Teton National and Glacier National Parks. The route back included Crater Lake, Northern Nevada, and Colorado.
[This is one of the first sites I created and it shows. Done just after I'd started playing with HTML in earnest, and after I'd discovered and become enamored of frames -- I loath them now -- the whole affair has a kind of shopworn look to it now. Only minimal maintenance to maintain links and such is done so it will no doubt continue to be a fine archive of a lame first site.]Road Trip 1997
This was a comparatively brief trip as we couldn't be away from home long. We drove up from Cary along the Civil War route. Trip included Fredericksburg, First Manasas, Gettysburg, Harper's Ferry, and Antietam. On the drive back we passed into far western Maryland and the New River Valley of Virginia.
Road Trip 1998
A long planned trip back out west. We drove out to Grand Teton National Park again but this time turned south instead of north. Stops included Dinosaur NP, Zion NP, Bryce Canyon NP, Grand Canyon NP (north rim), Kaibab NF, and Black Canyon of the Gunison NM.
